Q: How do I change my air filter?
A: With the exception of some HEPA filters, most air filters on your heater or air conditioning unit can be changed quickly and easily, and should be changed up to 4 times year depending on the type. Here are the steps for changing your filter:
- Determine the size of the filter. There are three dimensions- width, height, and thickness.
- Replace the old filter by removing the filter cover which is usually located on the side of the heating unit where the return air duct is attached.
